How to install your Automatic Mains Pressure Drinker

Don't worry, our Automatic Waterer Systems are designed to be installed with nothing more than a standard garden hose. You don't need to worry about messing around with pipes or PVC cement. We bet that even the most reluctant DIY-er can have this system up and running in under 20 minutes!

Connect the supplied outlet piping to the black Header Tank.
Nipple outlets should be installed so birds reach up at around a 45 degree angle. Measure the ideal Drinker height on the basis of your smallest bird and install the mounting plate for the Header Tank accordingly.
Fit the nylon inlet valve.
Run a high quality garden hose (12 mm) from your water source to the Header Tank. Slide the stainless steel clamp onto the hose, push the hose onto the inlet valve and clamp securely in place.
Turn on the water, check all connections and monitor your birds to ensure even the smallest one in the flock can access the water. If access is an issue for smaller birds, you can provide a step (e.g. a paver) or lower the height of the system.

Under 500g: $13.95 flat rate.
500g–20kg: $15.95 flat rate.
Over 20kg: Handled via StarTrack freight services. Shipping costs are quoted separately based on weight, size, and destination.
Express Shipping: Calculated at checkout (from $14.95).
Click & Collect (Garbutt): Free for eligible postcodes.
International Orders: Calculated at checkout based on weight.

For orders exceeding 20kg, we use StarTrack freight services. Shipping costs vary depending on the parcel's weight, size, and destination. During checkout, the "Contact for Quote" option will display as $0.00; however, this does not mean free shipping.

FAQ

Q. Will the Header Tank deteriorate in the sun?

A. Poultry prefer cool water. Even in an Automatic Waterer, the water reservoir will heat up in the sun. For that reason, even a UV treated waterer should always be positioned in the shade.

Q. How does the Header Tank work?

A. The horizontal ball valve refills the tank as the water drains, similar to a toilet cistern. The process is automatic.

Q. Can I connect to the Mains or only use a hose?

A. You can connect to a tap, the mains or use a garden hose.

Q. What type of birds can use a Nipple Drinker?

A. Nipple Drinkers are ideal for ducks and geese, which tend to make a mess of the drinking water. But chickens, quail, pigeons, other poultry, aviary birds and game birds can all use Nipple Drinkers.
