Minerals are essential in the formation of healthy bones, eggs and in their endocrine system. Birds, including backyard chickens are particularly prone to stress which can lead to illnesses and long term implications. Minerals help to maintain a healthy body during period of stress such as high or low temperatures, predator attacks, illness and breeding issues.

Calcium carbonate, calcium gluconate, sodium, iodide, bentonite clay, potassium and magnesium. Mineral Boost is enriched with vitamin A, vitamin B2, vitamin D3, vitamin E, vitamin K, iron, manganese, iodine, d-calcium pantothenate, selenium and zinc.

How to Use Avian Mineral Boost

Allow birds free access to Mineral Boost in a dry dish that is protected from soiling. Use regularly as part of an avian nutrition program. Mineral Boost is recommended for birds that are breeding, showing, racing or suffering from stress.

  • Click & Collect (Garbutt): Free for eligible postcodes.
  • International Orders: Calculated at checkout based on weight.

For orders exceeding 20kg, we use StarTrack freight services. Shipping costs vary depending on the parcel's weight, size, and destination. During checkout, the "Contact for Quote" option will display as $0.00; however, this does not mean free shipping.

Q. What type of birds is this suitable for?  A. The Dine A Chook Mineral Boost is specially designed for pigeons, birds and chickens Q. How do I give this mineral supplement to my chickens?  A. Pour half a cup of the supplement into a dry dish. Your chickens will find this quite tasty and shouldn't need to be persuaded to eat it. Clean the dish regularly and top up. Q. How do I know if my birds need mineral supplements?  A. To maintain good health, all birds will need mineral supplements of some kind. Just as you may require a hydralite if you are unwell or spend too much time in the heat, a bird requires the same - if not more so. As their small bodies are more susceptible to heat and stress, they are more likely to be depleted of their body's minerals.
